As a collaborative community we need to establish a timeline and develop and finalize an agenda for the first interactive meeting of our online learning community. We also need to set what we believe our Guidelines should be for online collaboration and meeting as a faculty or SLCc. Remember our goal of the online learning community is to improve technology use and integration at your campus.

Group members should think about the following as they plan the agenda:

- Purpose
- Objective
- Grade level
- Facilitator’s name
- Community members
- Activities: the purpose of each activity, the description of each activity, the activity’s steps, and the estimated time for each activity. An example of a beginning activity might be to have the community members create a shared vision.


I have added my thoughts for the Agenda in the Discussion Area. Please share you agenda ideas by July 18th, 2008.

We can then assign tasks to each person to develop the information needed for the staff development that first week of school. I would like to review all the tasks by August 1st so that we can take a little break before we get rolling on the 11th of August. Below are Deadlines listed:

DLee Cook - It would be nice to include information on Critical Issues to the campus if we can discuss this. Especially if we can focus on our New Teachers. Maybe have a Wiki for New Teachers only to discuss information. I would gladly take this on if you would like me to. The time line looks good except for moving up the dates as I mentioned above.


Ahna Gomez (VP)- I think it is very important to set guidelines for teachers when using Wikis. There must be a fine line when they use it with students and then with Staff. I will take the guidelines in 2 sections, working with Staff and working with students. Your time frame is great. We can get this done. I think Jessi needs to maintain, train and be the facilitator. Also the re-visioning committe spent numerous hours thinking of our technology mission and objectives we need to stay on that focus.

Jessi - I will take on the do's and don'ts of using a Wiki... the Etiquette. I can also work on maintaing Wikis for faculty and SLC. I will do training at the beginning of the school year so teacher will create their own for their classes. I feel that the purpose/objective remains the same as the Re-vision. I will also be the facilitator of this agenda.

Dionn Dahl (VP) - I agree on our mission the committee worked hard on their purpose and we must maintain continuity within the school. Jessi, just tell me what to do and I will do it. The time frame looks excellent. It is a good idea to move up, that way we have some extra time to get done.

Jessi - Dionn work on the following: 1. Faculty Wiki for Up-to-Date information 2. Create SLC Wiki - for content area collaboration. With what kind of up-to-date information and format as well as what SCLs. Be creative.
